Fabric Cuts

We generally sell our fabrics by the metric Fat Quarter (FQ) - unless otherwise stated -which measures approximately 55cm x 50cm but this may vary slightly depending on the width of fabric.  If multiple quantities of the same fabric are ordered, where possible these will be cut as a continuous length - please do contact us if you would like to discuss an alternative.

We always cut our fabric off the bolt using a rotary cutter and use the selvage edge of fabrics as our initial straight edge.  Fabrics can, however, become distorted when they are rolled onto the bolt and in some cases may not be printed straight.  I'm afraid we cannot take responsibility if these factors means fabric is not always cut perfectly straight, however we always endeavour to cut generously to allow you to straighten your fabric before you start your project.

Delivery

We aim to process all orders within 1-2 business days.  Most domestic orders will be sent by Royal Mail First Class post which also aims to deliver within 1-2 working days.  We will always request proof of posting when we leave items at the Post Office.  Certain larger or high value items may need to be shipped second class, signed for which allows us (and you) some peace of mind in terms of delivery - this does take slightly longer, but at least we can be sure it will reach you!

**Important Note for European Customers**

Due to changes in VAT rules as of 1 July 2021, all sales to EU and Channel Islands destinations will be deemed to be VAT exclusive (or zero rated for VAT) , and the customer will be responsible for any VAT/Customs/Admin charges levied by the receiving authorities.  Returns will not be accepted if you do not wish to pay these charges.  I'm sorry for these additional terms and please do consider these extra costs before ordering!

We now deliver via Royal Mail to Europe and some International Destinations! Please note that expected delivery is approximately 7-10 days from leaving the parcel with the Post Office and our we have two rates to allow for parcels of different weights and values.   Please note that should your parcel be in excess of 750g for Europe, or 750g for the remainder of our International Destinations, we will contact you to discuss any additional postage payment due.  For your information, as a rule of thumb,  approx 4-5m of fabric will usually be within the 1kg limit and 3-4m up to 750g - please note that this a guide only as different fabrics have different weights!  Every additional 250g (approx 1m of fabric) will incur an extra £4 in postage charges.

**Customers are responsible for any customs, duties or extra charges levied within their home country.**

Please note that we try to be as flexible and accommodating as possible so if you require only a small amount of fabric to be shipped, please do get in touch and we will let you know the actual cost of shipping and charge accordingly!

I am sorry but we cannot be held responsible for any late or undelivered items, however in the event of an undelivered item, please do contact us and we will do our best to help.

Should  you wish to collect your item from our base in Watford in Hertfordshire we will be pleased to waive the delivery charge, please contact us if we can help.

Domestic Returns
We want you to be completely happy with your purchase, so if you have any issues with the item(s), or wish to cancel an order, please do contact me in the first instance and I will do my utmost to sort things out to your satisfaction.

Under the UK Distance Selling Regulations, you have 14 days from the receipt of goods to cancel your order, however as we supply fabric specially cut to order, as such these are considered to be 'personalised goods' which are EXEMPT from the Distance Selling Regulations.

The small print!
Subject to the above, our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since you received your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be a non-personalised item, unused, unwashed and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Returns
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a few days.

Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at saira@oliveandflohc.co.uk

Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. We do inspect our fabric carefully before we package it for you, however, if you do receive a faulty or damaged non-personalised item and wish to exchange it for the same item, please send us an email at saira@oliveandflohc.co.uk and we will do our best to sort things out for you.

To return your product for refund or exchange, you should mail your product to the address provided within 14 days of receipt of the goods. We would recommend that you send returns by 1st class Royal Mail recorded delivery so that you have proof of posting - initial or return postage will not be reimbursed.

Fabric Care

Generally, the fabric we sell is 100% cotton (unless otherwise stated) so the manufacturers recommend that the fabric can be machine washed gently on cold or warm, wash like colours together, and low or medium tumble dry and remove immediately the cycle is finished to minimise creases.

In the main, I do not pre-wash my fabric before I use it in my projects, and have not had any problems with colour bleeding or shrinking.  However, whether you chose to pre-wash or not is a personal preference.  I'm sorry that we cannot take any responsibility for later colour bleeding or shrinkage.  As a precaution, it may be sensible to use a colour catcher when you do eventually wash your fabric or project to minimise any accidents.
