We have some lovely new fabric arrivals due into our shop this week and they pick up on the green theme which seems to be taking over the internet since the Pantone colour of the Year was announced - Greenery. The fabrics are from both Dashwood Studio - Altitude and from Makower - Heartwood.
Dashwood's Altitude has a serene muted green and blue palette designed by the artist Pippa Shaw. It is based on Pippa's love of the Alps and is inspired by the forested mountainsides and elevated wildflower meadows. The collection is small, so a bundle of all 8 beautiful fabrics would allow you so many design possibilities. The collection seems particular popular for English Paper Piecing, perhaps because the designs are small and eminently usable, and home decor such as cushions and baskets. Check out our Instagram feed @oliveandflohandcraft for some inspiration.
Then Makower's Heartwood Collection is a dreamy collection of chambray blues, soft muted greys and fresh lime which are soft and again so usable. The fabrics co-ordinate so well together have an almost line drawn forest theme about them - combined with the linen texture co-ordinates these would make beautiful cushions, quilts and accessories for your living space or even the conservatory! They remind me of Spring which can't be that far away now?!
All will be available here at Olive and Flo Handcraft very soon!
